Thousands of years ago the prophet Hosea remarked that his people were destroyed for lack of knowledge. In other words, they were ignorant of the true nature of God and man. Paul uttered this same sentiment years later when he told the Corinthians that many of them were sickly and were dying because they failed to discern the Lord’s body, and in first John, it says that Jesus came into this world to give us an understanding so that we might know God.
He taught His disciples this spiritual knowledge, and they did many marvelous works in His name. It is this knowledge that is revealed in Christian Science. It is true Science because it transcends material knowledge and is eternal and unchangeable. Through this understanding, many have been healed in our church, healed of so-called incurable
diseases.

to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. She discovered this Science and the spiritual laws that
govern it. All may learn and apply these rules to solve problems, heal the sick and the sinner
and so glorify God.
