What Really Is Christian Science?

We have answered this question before but feel led to touch on the issue again. Christian Science is the science of Mind-healing or Truth-healing. We are asked in Christian Science to understand not just to believe that there is but one Cause and one effect-Perfect God and Perfect man. The understanding that God, infinite good, is the only power and presence destroys the belief that evil is present and has power: the understanding of God’s, Spirit’s Allness makes the absence of good impossible .It shows that a belief in the absence of good is nothing but a false belief.

Now, since such a belief is false the only way to get rid of it is to give it up and to hold to what we know is true! For example, if we believe that 2+ 2 =5, this is false, and we must abandon this error to get ahead. We must return to the mathematical principle to get the right answer. There is no other way. Similarly, if we believe that we are sick, we are holding a false belief since the divine Principle we call God cannot know sickness. When we hold to the truth that we are the righteousness of God in Christ or simply that we are His beloved child ,and live and act as such, we find that we are healed.

However, whatever we claim for ourself we must do the same for others for this is the law.
